Rotary 7070 Foundation Walk - Sept 8 2019
These photo "snaps" are just a small sampling of the days activities and the park walk.
There’s lots to see and do down at Colonel Samuel Smith Park — one of Toronto’s largest waterfront parks. Located along a stretch of wooded shoreline at the foot of Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke, the nearly 79-hectare park is home to a variety of plants, trees, birds and other wildlife, as well as to a network of paths and the city’s first ice skating trail. As the site of the former Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital, it also boasts one of the oldest assemblages of buildings in the city, with perhaps Toronto’s most fascinating — and storied — histories.
